as well as grow

She sucks you in
and spits you out
she can be quiet
can be loud
she heals and cuts
and twists and turns
she cools and aches
and bleeds and burns
she swirls your thoughts
and calms your mind
she rips the wrapping
and looks behind
she blesses and prays
and asks and plays
she writes your story
she dreams
she cares
she takes your worry
she bares
your mind
and wraps it up
she flows through you
if you don’t let her stop
she conjures magic
soothes your soul
she is not just a poem

she carries you through
